Seasonal Yoga Flow Series: A Year in Rhythm

Weekly all-level classes supporting balance and presence

If you’ve been feeling like life is out of rhythm, like you’re always a step ahead or a step behind Seasonal Yoga Flow offers a weekly, intentional yoga practice focused on mindful movement, breathwork, and aligning with the natural rhythms of the seasons, helping you connect to your body, breath, and the world around you throughout the year.

As human beings, we are inherently aligned with the changing seasons, and our bodies and minds are naturally influenced by these cycles. Changes in light, temperature, and environmental shifts affect our physical well-being and mental clarity. As the seasons change in our busy, modern world, we can miss the opportunity to honor these shifts in energy, mood, and mental focus which can lead us to feel out of sync with ourselves and the world around us.

Each week, you’ll engage in yoga postures and breathwork that encourage grounding, focus, and flexibility—physically, emotionally, and mentally. By honoring the seasons and syncing your body with the natural world around you, you’ll feel more at ease, present, and balanced, both on and off the mat. Whether you want to deepen your connection to your body, expand your practice, or better align with natural rhythms, Seasonal Yoga Flow will guide you through the rhythms of the year. You’ll build strength, feel more grounded, and cultivate balance, all while connecting with the natural cycles that support your body, mind, and spirit.

Whether it’s your first time on the mat or you’ve been practicing for years, these classes offer space for you to connect with your body and breath, align with the natural rhythms around you, and find balance and clarity in every season.

Journey Through the Celtic Wheel of the Year Yoga

Eight week series aligned with the cross quarter festivals

If you’re someone who senses the deeper shifts that come with the changing seasons and want a practice that helps you meet those changes with intention and clarity for meaningful transformation—this journey is for you.

This series is built to help us live in alignment with our true nature. The Celtic cross-quarter holidays offer us powerful opportunities to align with the rhythms of nature and tap into our inner wisdom. By embracing these seasonal shifts, we can transform our energy and change our lives.

  • At Imbolc, we can harness the power of new beginnings, practice self care and set intentions for growth and transformation.
  • At Beltane, we can connect with the creative life force within us and awaken our passions.
  • At Lunasa, we can celebrate our abundance and honor the sacred cycle of growth.
  • At Samhain, we can open to ancestral wisdom, honor the cycles of life and death, release what no longer serves us, and invite in lasting insights and wisdom.

Through yoga, breathwork, meditation, sound healing, and self exploration, each session helps access deeper awareness and align your energy with the season at hand. By working with these natural rhythms we create space for clarity, healing, and conscious transformation.

The Sacred Core Yoga

Four-week thematic sessions exploring timeless teachings

The Sacred Core series is designed to flow within the Celtic Wheel of the Year series offering focused four-week pathways that explore mythic maps and yogic principles rooted in ancient wisdom. These focused teachings make up The Sacred Core, a collection of offerings drawn from alchemy, myth, and yogic philosophy. Each series stands on its own, yet together they form a cohesive path of growth through movement, breath, and story.

  • Alchemy of Becoming
Journey through the four stages of alchemy —Negredo, Albedo, Citrinitas, and Rubedo— as a map for transformation. This series invites you to explore personal evolution through symbolic language, inner fire, and grounded practice.
  • Inanna & the Sumerian Myths
Explore the roots of civilization through the lens of the goddess Inanna: the foundation of Sumerian culture, the sacred Me, the union of Inanna and Dumuzi, and the profound teachings of descent and return.
  • Four Paths to Freedom
Dive into the Bhagavad Gita’s vision of liberation through Bhakti (devotion), Jnana (wisdom), Karma (action), and Raja (discipline). Each week offers a deep exploration of each path—its archetype, practice, and relevance for modern life.
  • The Four Aims of Life (Purusharthas)
Discover the Vedic framework for a meaningful life through Dharma (purpose), Artha (resources), Kama (pleasure), and Moksha (liberation). These sessions integrate movement, breath, and focused reflection to explore balance across all aspects of being.

Together, these four offerings form the Essentials of Transformation—practical, poetic, and grounded in the roots of our shared humanity. Drawing from myth and ancient teachings, they serve as keys to inner life, unlocking insight at the perfect moment between one season and the next.

Each series is explored through intentional yoga practice—integrating movement, breath and awareness with the themes we’re working with.

Seasonal Yoga Retreats

Weekend retreats offered twice yearly

If you’re seeking a space to experience greater depth, clarity, and connection these seasonal gatherings offer an opportunity to slow down and move with intention—through body, breath, and personal inquiry. In community we align with the turning of the seasons and draw from ancient systems of wisdom to explore what it means to live a meaningful life today. Whether we’re working with the Hero’s Journey, the alchemical process of transformation, or the cycles of nature through the Medicine Wheel, each retreat is grounded in rhythm, nature, and connection to the higher Self.

Together we explore practical and timeless tools—yogic movement, breathwork, ecopsychology, archetypes, and mythology—as a way of uncovering what is already whole within us. These weekends are a chance to listen more deeply, to connect with others, to reconnect with the steady intelligence of the body, the land, and the balance of self.

Participants leave with tools of connection to a natural sense of rooted clarity—a felt alignment between the outer world and their inner knowing. More than anything, these retreats offer the space to live in rhythm with life itself.

Attune to the earth’s intelligence and reveal your deeper inner knowing at Prairiewoods Franciscan Spirituality Center, a sacred sanctuary nestled on 70 acres of native prairie and woodland in the heart of Hiawatha, Iowa.

We are all carrying questions we can’t answer in our daily lives and throughout life, we encounter cycles of change, challenge, and new insights that challenge us to grow beyond what we know. Whether facing a life transition, seeking clarity, or deepening self-understanding, these moments invite us to step beyond our current experience and become something greater. The Path of Transformation Retreat offers space to explore personal transformation through movement, ritual, reflection, and connection to the natural world-guided by traditional pattens of mind/body/spirit evolution.

Incorporating yoga, meditation, eco-therapy practices, ritual, and self-inquiry, we will follow a four-stage journey inspired by universal patterns of revelation and growth—moving from challenge to clarity, uncertainty to insight, and separation to wholeness. Rooted in ancient wisdom and practical tools for modern life, this retreat offers a supportive space to navigate personal shifts and move forward with greater purpose.

This retreat is structured around four stages of transformation integrating the ancient wisdom of alchemy, The Hero’s Journey as expressed in the Ho-Chunk storytelling tradition and the cyclical teachings of balance and direction reflected in the Native American medicine wheel. Each stage will be explored through yoga sessions, guided reflection, ritual, and eco-therapy, offering both embodied and contemplative experiences to support deep transformation and integration.

Whether you seek physical strength, emotional balance, or spiritual insight, this weekend retreat will serve as a sanctuary for reflection, growth, and authentic self-expression. Give yourself the space to pause, breathe and leave feeling restored, inspired, and reconnected to the wisdom within.

By bringing all of these into balance, we unlock our full potential for healing, growth and purpose. Classes offer a blend of accessible movement, breathwork, and mindfulness, designed to foster strength, resilience, self-awareness, and authenticity. Drawing from ancient physical practices, mythological teachings, and seasonal rhythms, his approach supports transformation, healing, and growth.
